RESOLUTION NO. 2428 <br />A RESOLUTION SETTING PROCEDURES FOR FILING AND CONSIDERATION <br />OF MATTERS BEFORE THE SOUTH BEND REDEVELOPMENT COMMISSION <br />WHEREAS, I.C. 36-7-14-8(c) provides that the Redevelopment Commissioners <br />may adopt the rules and by-laws they consider necessary for the proper conduct of their <br />proceedings, the carrying out of their duties, and the safeguarding of money and property <br />placed in their custody; and <br />WHEREAS, the Commission has determined that proper consideration of matters <br />brought before the Commission requires adequate time to review proposed resolutions <br />and other actions. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the South Bend Redevelopment <br />Commission as follows: <br />1. All matters to be considered at the regular first or third Friday meeting of <br />the Commission, with the exception of the specific items described in <br />Paragraph 3, below, shall be filed with the Executive Director of the <br />Commission no later than Noon on the Tuesday preceding such meeting <br />and shall be transmitted to Commissioners by electronic mail, personal <br />delivery, or U.S. mail, as each Commissioner shall prefer, no later than <br />5:00 p.m. on the Tuesday prior to such Commission meeting. Such filing <br />and transmittal shall contain the proposed Commission agenda together <br />with the full text, maps, photographs, and renderings of all matters to be <br />considered by the Commission at such regular meeting. <br />2. For any special meeting of the Commission, such documents shall be filed <br />and notice provided to allow the same period of time for consideration by <br />Commissioners as set forth in the proceeding paragraph, unless such <br />period of time is changed by the affirmative vote of the Commissioners. <br />The following matters may be tiled with the Executive Director of the <br />Commission no later than Noon on the business day before a Commission <br />meeting and included on a revised agenda, provided that the text of all <br />such proposals together with the revised agenda is provided to all <br />Commissioners, by the preferred method of delivery for each <br />Commissioner, no later than 5:00 p.m. on the day before the meeting: <br />a. Proposed contracts for professional engineering services relating to <br />property owned by the Commission or property in which the <br />Commission has expressed an interest in purchasing. <br />• <br />
