t RESOLUTION NO. .~~: (~` % `~-' ~ ~ .- A RESOLUTION OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, APPROVING A CERTAIN RESOLUTION AND AMENDMENT TO THE DEVELOPMENT PLAN FOR THE AIRPORT ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AREA TO BE ADOPTED BY THE SOUTH BEND REDEVELOPMENT COMMISSION WHEREAS, the South Bend Redevelopment Commission (the "Commission"), the governing body of the South Bend Department of Redevelopment and the Redevelopment District of the City of South Bend, Indiana, pursuant to Indiana Code 36-7-14 (the "Act"), on June 25, 2008, will consider for adoption its Resolution No. 2456 (the "Resolution"); a copy of the Resolution is attached hereto and made a part hereof as Exhibit "A"; WHEREAS, the Resolution designates that the boundaries of the Airport Economic Development • Area ("Airport Area") should be further expanded and amended to include a new area described as Expansion No. 24 (the "Plan Amendment"); and WHEREAS, the Commission, which is a duly designated and acting official planning body for the City, on June 25, 2008, will consider for adoption and approval the Resolution; and WHEREAS, the Common Council of the City as the municipal legislative body of the City now desires to approve Expanion Area Number 24 of the Resolution in order to assist the Commission to proceed with the redevelopment of the area as expanded; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana, as follows: Expansion Area Number 24 of the Resolution attached hereto is in all respects hereby approved, ratified and confirmed. 2. Any Commission determination of the Resolution that the Airport Area is amended and expanded pursuant to the Act is hereby approved and shall he limited to not greater than a thirty (30) year period.
