BENp~ tN. - <br />Fax 219 235-9813 <br />~i~ N ~. <br />»~ ~i K <br />RE: A proposed ordinance and site development plan of the Jewish Federation of <br />St. Joseph Valley, Inc. to zone from "A" Residential, "A" Height and Area to "B" <br />Residential, "A" Height and Area, property located at the southeast corner of <br />McKinley Avenue and Blvd de la Paix, City of South Bend - APC #1835-98 <br />Dear Council Members: <br />The above referenced ordinance and site development plan of Jewish Federation of <br />St. Joseph Valley, Inc. was legally advertised March 5, 1998. The Area Plan <br />Commission at its public hearing on March 17, 1998, took the following action: <br />pon a motion by Joseph Serge, being seconded by Charles Shields and unanimously <br />carried, the proposed ordinance and site development plan of the Jewish <br />Federation of St. Joseph Valley, Inc. to zone from "A" Residential, "A" Height <br />and Area to "B" Residential, "A" Height and Area, property located at the <br />southeast corner of McKinley Avenue and Blvd de la Paix, City of South Bend is <br />sent to the Common Council with a favorable recommendation, subject to a Final <br />Site Development Plan. The petitioner has agreed to leave a 50 foot buffer along <br />the east property line bordering the residential area to the east. It is the <br />Commission's opinion that an office type use should have minimal impact on the <br />surrounding properties. <br />The deliberations of the Area Plan Commission and points considered in arriving <br />at the above decision are shown in the minutes of the public hearing, and will be <br />forwarded to you at a later date to be made a part of this report. <br />Attached, for your consideration in the review of this matter, is a copy of the <br />Area Plan Commission's Staff Report. <br />Sin erely, <br />~~~~~- <br />Robert W.
