ORDINANCE NO. U U ~l' ~~ AN ORDINANCE OF THE COMMON COUNCII, OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, AMENDING CHAPTER 21, ARTICLE 7, SECTION 21-128 OF THE SOUTH BEND MUNICIPAL CODE ADDRESSING THE ZONING OF ANNEXED AREAS. The Indiana State Legislature has given to cities and towns the ability to enact legislation which enhances the orderly growth and development of the communities. The City of South Bend believes that the annexation and subsequent rezoning of properties can be handled more expeditiously than the existing process. The proposed process will be beneficial to both the City of South Bend as well as to individual property owners in that it will reduce the amount of time that it currently takes to annex real property into the City of South Bend and then rezone the subject real property. 1Pt0~tl, ~~j~r~tor~, ~ld~ ~(~ ~r~a~itt~~' by the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana, as follows: i n I Chapter 21, Article 7, Section 21-128 of the South Bend Municipal Code is repealed in its entirety and replaced with the following, which shall read in its entirety as follows: i n II.
