` ORDINANCE N0. ~~~ AN ORDINANCE OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA AMENDING CHAPTER 2 OF THE SOUTH BEND MUNICIPAL CODE STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT The Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana, has determined that it is in the best interest of the City to increase the rate at which mileage is reimbursed to an employee who uses his or her private vehicle for City business, and to have that rate be established by reference to the current rate included in Internal Revenue Service regulations. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA AS FOLLOWS: SECTION I. Chapter 2, Article 8, Section 2-122 (b) is amended to read as follows: (b) Employees who use personal cars for City business shall be paid at h ra per mile as established by Internal R v n,_ rv;ne r qulations .urr n_ on h da of rav 1 for business mileage documented in accordance with City rules. SECTION II. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage by the Common Council and approval by the Mayor.
