ORDINANCE NO. ~ 1 1 ~ l 1 AN ORDINANCE OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA APPROPRIATING $21,570.00 FROM THE INDIANA RIVER RESCUE FUND (FUND #291) ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT The City of South Bend through its Fire Department operates the Indiana River Rescue Emergency Response Team, which contracts with the Indiana State Emergency Management Agency to provide river rescue services throughout the State of Indiana and elsewhere as directed by the State of Indiana. To operate at full efficiency and best protect the public, the Indiana River Rescue Emergency Response Team needs to purchase new equipment and update the equipment currently in its possession. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, AS FOLLOWS: Section I. The following sum of money is hereby appropriated and ordered set apart from and within the Indiana River Rescue Fund (Fund No. 291) for the purchase of new equipment. Indiana River Rescue Fund $21,570.00 Section II. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage by the Common Council and approval by the Mayor.
