The Ordinance provides approval for the second phase of a three- <br />part improvement to the Olive Water Treatment Plant on Olive Street in South Bend, Indiana, <br />which will increase the Olive Water Treatment Plant's total treatment capacity to 12 million <br />gallons of water per day. The project consists of the construction and equipping of a 6,500 <br />square foot slab-on-grade building, six additional GAC units and all associated process piping <br />for the treatment plant. Construction of the building is projected to begin in the spring of 2000. <br />We request that the first reading of this Ordinance be placed on the agenda for the Common <br />Council for Monday, August 9, 1999.
