Chapter 4, Article 4, Section 4-61, of the South Bend Municipal Code shall be, and hereby is, amended to read as follows: Sec. 4-61. Taxicabs companies. vehicles and drivers. (a) Definitions. As used in this section: (1) C-~-t7fi~xt~ Companv License means the written license issued by the Eity Controller s authorizing the holder to conduct a taxicab business in the City. (2) Cruising means the driving of a taxicab on the streets, alleys or public places of the City, in search of or soliciting prospective passengers for hire. (3) Driver means any person who is in actual physical control of a taxicab and is berating the taxicab for hire. (4) Driver's license means a written license issued by the Controller to a person to drive a taxicab upon the streets of the City. (5) Holder means a person to whom a company license has been issued. (6) Manifest means a daily record prepared by a taxicab driver of all trips made by such driver showing time and place of origin, destination, number of passengers and the amount of fare of each trip. (7) Operator means any person owning, in charge of, or managing a taxicab business in the City. (8) Rate card means a card for display in each taxicab which contains the scheduled rates of fare charged by the operator of such taxicab with a receipt of the 'b~ark~s Controller.
