<br />ORDINANCE NO. <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, <br />INDIANA APPROPRIATING $1,000,000 OUT OF FUND 641 TO PAY COSTS <br />ASSOCIATED WITH CLEANING THE ANAEROBIC DIGESTERS AT THE <br />WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT. <br />STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT <br />The wastewater treatment plant has four anaerobic digesters which need . to be cleaned <br />and rehabilitated. Two of these digesters are used as settling tanks for biosolids prior to being <br />dewatered and used in our land application program. These digesters have not been cleaned in <br />20 years. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, as follows: <br />Section I. The sum of $1,000,000 is hereby appropriated and set aside within Fund No. <br />641 for purposes of paying for the anaerobic digester cleaning at the wastewater treatment plant. <br />Section II.
