Marti I ft, Clekk <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />MARCH 18 2009 <br />17 <br />The Board of Public Safety met in the regular meeting at 9.-15 a.m. on Wednesday, March 18, 2009 <br />with Board President Juanita Dempsey, and Board Members Patrick D. Cottrell and Bruce <br />BonDurant present. Also present were Police ChiefDarryl Boykins, Fire Chief Howard Buchanon <br />and Board Attorney Thomas Bodnar. <br />The meeting was held in the Board of Public Works Meeting Room, 13t" Floor, County City <br />Building, South Bend, Indiana. <br />APPROVE MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETINGS <br />Board President Juanita Dempsey advised that if there were no objections by members of the Board, <br />the minutes of the Public Agenda Session, Executive Session, and Regular meetings of the Board <br />held on February 27, 2009 would be accepted with the noted corrections. <br />ACCEPT AND FILE DONATION <br />In a letter to the Board, Police Chief Darryl Boykins advised the Board of a generous donation from <br />the Walmart ° Store, 700 W. Ireland Rd., South Bend, Indiana of three large pass c bags of plush <br />animals. The donation is for youth victims of crime and community outreach. There being no further <br />discussion, the donation was accepted and filed. <br />ACCEPT AND FILE DONATION <br />In a letter to the Board, Police Chief Darryl Boykins advised the Board of a generous donation from <br />Lock Joint Tube LL C in the amount of $250.00. The donation is for the South Bend Police <br />Department Summer Tennis Program. There being no further discussion, the donation was accepted <br />and filed. <br />FILING OF MONTHLY STATISTICAL ANALYSIS REPORT — FEBRUARY 2009 <br />President Dempsey indicated that unless there were questions or objections by members of the <br />Board, the statistical report for the month of February 2009 as submitted by the Police Dqpartment, <br />o filing- <br />would be accepted for filing.
