South Bend Central Development Area (Cont.) <br /> <br />(1) continued… <br /> <br />change, though that is unlikely. <br /> <br />CRN.2565 <br />Upon a motion by Mr. Downes, seconded by <br />OMMISSION APPROVED ESOLUTION O <br />AUTHORIZING DISPOSITION OF INTEREST IN REAL <br />Ms. King and unanimously carried, the <br />SBC <br />ESTATE LOCATED IN THE OUTH END ENTRAL <br />Commission approved Resolution No. 2565 <br />DA.(648CS.) <br />EVELOPMENT REA OLUMBIA T <br />authorizing disposition of interest in real <br />estate located in the South Bend Central <br />Development Area. (648 Columbia St.) <br /> <br /> <br />(2) Proposal for Architectural Services for <br />101 N. Michigan St. <br /> <br />Ms. Laurent noted that staff is recommending <br />an extension to the contract with <br />Architecture Design Group (ADG) for design <br />and construction coordination services <br />through the completion of the American <br />Trust façade restoration project. The original <br />basis of compensation, approved by the <br />Commission on July 20, 2006, was 11% of <br />the cost of construction, not to exceed <br />$70,000. The extension of the contract <br />commits additional hourly compensation not <br />to exceed $7,000 to see us through the final <br />two months of the construction phase. <br /> <br />The Commission’s original terms <br />contemplated only 12 months of engagement <br />with ADG; however the National Park <br />Service review of plans that was required for <br />the Rehabilitation Tax Credits lengthened the <br />predevelopment phase considerably, and was <br />a time-intensive portion of the project for <br />ADG. To their credit, the application was <br />ultimately 100% successful, and once <br />underway, ADG and Majority Builders have <br /> 17 <br /> <br />
