CATHERINE FANELLO <br />CONTROLLER <br />May 2, 2007 <br />Members of the Common Council <br />Council Chambers <br />4th Floor <br />County-City Building <br />Dear Members of the Council, <br />In accordance with the procedure for the renewal of City Business/Occupational <br />licenses for the operation of Scrap Metal/Junk Dealers/Recycling Operations, renewal <br />applications for four (4) businesses were submitted to the Police Department, Fire <br />Inspection Bureau, Water Works, Department of Code Enforcement and Building <br />Department. <br />The properties were inspected for Fire Code violations, environmental violations, proper <br />maintenance of the premises and areas outside the fences, and the height and <br />condition of the surrounding fencing. Both applications received favorable <br />recommendations from all departments. <br />As the applicants have met all of the technical requirements of the ordinance, the <br />attached resolution is being submitted for your consideration.
