ORDINANCE NO. ~ O <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE SOUTH BEND COMMON COUNCIL AMENDING <br />CHAPTER 17, ARTICLE SEVEN, SECTION 17-56 OF THE SOUTH BEND <br />MUNICIPAL CODE REGARDING THE SEWER SERVICE FUND AND CHARGES <br />STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT <br />The Sewer Service Fund has accumulated sufficient dedicated revenues to address the <br />repair and replacement of private sewer connections well into the future such that the monthly <br />assessment for this fund can be reduced. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, AS FOLLOWS: <br />SECTION I. Chapter 17, Article 7, Section 17-56 of the South Bend Municipal Code <br />shall be, and hereby is amended to read as follows: <br />Section 17-56. Purpose, assessment of charges; deposit in separate fund. <br />(a) The sum of sntv.: ~un`etst}'71 - per month shall be <br />added to sewer service charges for all sewer users which are not industrial or bulk water <br />customers. All of said sums of money so collected shall be deposited in a separate fund of the <br />Bureau of Sewers. <br />(b) All funds collected under section 17-60 of this article, "Charges to private sewer <br />owner; payment," shall also be deposited in this separate fund of the Bureau of Sewers. <br />(c) All of said sums of money so collection shall be deposited in a separate fund of the <br />Bureau of Sewers, and said fund shall be used solely to address the repair and/or replacement of <br />failing private sewer connections, and to address administrative and inspection costs associated <br />with this program. <br />SECTION II.
