Martin, Clerk <br />ADOPT RESOLUTION NO 12-2016 — A RESOLUTION OF THE SOUTH BEND BOARD <br />OF THE SOUTH BEND BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS ON TRANSFER OF TITLF. OF <br />VEHICLES TO STU'DEBAKER NATIONAL MUSFUM <br />Upon a motion made by Ms. Maradik, seconded by Ms. Maradik and carried, the following <br />Resolution was adopted by the Board of Public Works: <br />RESOLUTION NO, 12-2016 <br />RESOLUTION OF THE SOUTH BEND BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />ON TRANSFER OF TITLE OF VEHICLES TO STUDEBAKER NATIONAL MUSEUM <br />WHEREAS, the City of South Bend Board of Public Works ("Board') is the <br />contracting body for the City of South Bend, Indiana ("City") and the Board has the authority <br />under the laws of Indiana to hold, purchase, acquire and lease property; and <br />WHEREAS, the City currently holds title to two (2) vehicles more accurately described <br />in Exhibit A attached and incorporated hereto ("Vehicles") which are used by the Studebaker <br />National Museum ("Studebaker") for display; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Indiana Code 36-1-11(7), the City may dispose of property to a <br />non-profit corporation organized for an educational purpose; and <br />WHEREAS, Studebaker qualifies as a non-profit corporation organized with an <br />educational purpose; and <br />WHEREAS, Studebaker desires to acquire title to the Vehicles; and <br />WHEREAS, it has been determined by the Board of Public Works that the Vehicles have <br />a combined value of less than S 10,000.00 <br />WHEREAS, effective with the transfer of title contemplated herein, the Vehicles shall no <br />longer be considered an asset of the City; and <br />BE IT RESOLVED that the Vehicles referenced in this Resolution Number 12-2016 are <br />hereby transferred to the Studebaker National Museum and hereby forever removed from the <br />City of South Bend's inventory list. <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Director of Public Works may execute any <br />documents necessary to effectively transfer title of the Vehicles to Studebaker National Museum, <br />ADOPTED FEBRUARY 23, 2016. <br />CITY OF SOUTH BEND <br />BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />s/ Gary A.
