REGULAR MEETING JANUARY 12, 2009 BILLS, FIRST READING BILL NO. 01-09 FIRST READING ON A BILL AMENDING THE ZONING ORDINANCE FOR PROPERTY LOCATED AT 2013 FORD ST., SOUTH BEND, IN 46619, COUNCILMANIC DISTRICT 6 IN THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA This bill had first reading. Councilmember White made a motion to refer this bill to the Area Plan Commission. Councilmember Puzzello seconded the motion which carried by a voice vote of eight (8) ayes. BILL NO. 02-09 FIRST READING ON A BILL AMENDING THE ZONING ORDINANCE FOR PROPERTY LOCATED AT 744 SOUTH MAIN STREET, COUNCILMANIC DISTRICT SIX (6) IN THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA This bill had first reading. Councilmember Puzzello made a motion to refer this bill to the Area Plan Commission. Councilmember Oliver Davis seconded the motion which carried by a voice vote of eight (8) ayes. BILL NO. 03-09 FIRST READING ON A BILL TO VACATE THE FOLLOWING DESCRIBED PROPERTIES: THE ALLEYS TO BE VACATED ARE DESCRIBED AS THE FIRST EAST- WEST 14 FT. WIDE ALLEY NORTH OF MONROE STREET, RUNNING EAST FROM THE EAST RIGHT-OF-WAY LINE OF SOUTH MAIN STREET, FOR A DISTANCE OF APPROXIMATELY 165 FEET + AND THE FIRST NORTH- SOUTH 14 FOOT WIDE ALLEY EAST OF SOUTH MAIN STREET, RUNNING NORTH FROM THE NORTH RIGHT-OF- WAY LINE OF MONROE STREET FOR A DISTANCE OF APPROXIMATELY 198 FEET + LOCATED DIRECTLY NORTH AND EAST OF LOTS 28, 29 AND 30. THE STREET TO BE VACATED IS A PORTION OF MICHIGAN STREET, SOUTH FROM WESTERN AVENUE APPROXIMATELY 250 FEET This bill had first reading. Councilmember Puzzello made a motion to refer this bill to the Public Works and Property Vacation Committee and set it for Public Hearing and Third Reading on January 26, 2009.
