<br />RESOLUTION NO. 3936-09 A RESOLUTION OF THE COMMON
<br /> COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH
<br /> BEND DESIGNATING CERTAIN AREAS
<br /> WITHIN THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND,
<br /> INDIANA, COMMONLY KNOWN AS
<br /> 3511 – 3615 VOORDE DRIVE AN
<br /> ECONOMIC REVITALIZATION AREA
<br /> FOR PURPOSES OF A (5) FIVE-YEAR
<br /> PERSONAL PROPERTY TAX
<br /> ABATEMENT FOR FORTIS PLASTICS,
<br /> LLC
<br />WHEREAS, a petition for personal property tax abatement consideration has been
<br />filed with the City Clerk for consideration by the Common Council of the City of South
<br />,
<br />Bend, Indiana, requesting that the area commonly known as 3511 - 3615 Voorde Drive
<br />South Bend, Indiana, and which is more particularly described as follows:
<br />
<br />Land Situated in the State of Indiana, County of St, Joseph, City of South
<br />Bend.
<br />
<br />PARCEL I: A portion of the East ½ of Section 33, Township 38 North,
<br />Range 2 East of the Second Principal Meridian, and a part of the City of
<br />South Bend, in St. Joseph County, Indiana, more particularly described as
<br />follows: Commencing at the Northeast corner of the Southeast ¼ Section
<br />33, thence South 0 degrees, 07 minutes, 29 seconds West, along and with
<br />the East line of said Southeast Quarter of Section 33, a distance of 815.52
<br />feet; thence North 89 degrees 40 minutes 09 seconds West, a distance of
<br />1,348.23 feet to the intersection of the Northerly Right-of-Way line of
<br />Voorde Drive and the Westerly Right-of-Way line of proposed Progress
<br />Drive, said point being the point of beginning; thence North 0 degrees 19
<br />minutes 51 seconds East, along and with the said Westerly Right-of-Way
<br />line of proposed Progress Drive, a distance of 455.00 feet; thence North 89
<br />degrees 40 minutes 09 seconds West, along a line parallel with the
<br />Northerly Right-of-Way line of Voorde Drive, a distance of 250.00 feet;
<br />thence South 0 degrees 19 minutes 51 seconds West, a distance of 455.00
<br />feet to a point on the Northerly Right-of-Way line of Voorde Drive; thence
<br />South 89 degrees 40 minutes 09 seconds East, along and with the
<br />Northerly Right-of-Way line of Voorde Drive, a distance of 250.00 feet to
<br />the place of beginning.

<br />PARCEL II: A portion of the Southeast ¼ of Section 33, Township 38
<br />North, Range 2 East of the Second Principal Meridian, in and part of the
<br />City of South Bend, in St. Joseph County, Indiana, more particularly
<br />described as follows: Commencing at a brass plug at the center of Section
<br />33, Township 38 North, Range 2 East of the Second Principal Meridian;
<br />thence South 0 degrees 01 minutes 14 seconds West, a distance of 814.60
<br />feet to the North line of Voorde Drive projected West; thence South 89
<br />degrees 40 minutes 09 seconds East, on and along the said North line of
<br />Voorde Drive, a distance of 737.20 feet to the point of beginning; thence
<br />North 0 degrees 18 minutes 51 seconds East, a distance of 455.00 feet;
<br />thence South 89 degrees 40 minutes 09 seconds East, a distance of 302.21
<br />feet; thence South 01 degrees 18 minutes 51 seconds West, a distance of
<br />455.00 feet to the North line of said Voorde Drive; thence North 89
<br />degrees 40 minutes 09 seconds West, a distance of 302.21 feet to the place
<br />beginning.
