o� <br /> ORDINANCE NO. / gr/ <br /> AN ORDINANCE AMENDING G ORDINANCE NUMBER 2331 <br /> COMkLONLY KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE <br /> BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the city of <br /> South Bend, `ndiana. <br /> SECTION i. <br /> That 'rdinance Number 233', adopted by the Common <br /> Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana, on the 25th day of <br /> June, 1923, and known as the Zoning Ordinance, be and the same <br /> is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> That the following described real estate situated in <br /> said City, to-wit: <br /> "Beginning at the northeast corner of Lot 439, <br /> Whitcomb and Keler' s Third .Sunnymede, And Addition to <br /> the City of South Bend; thence West along the °outh line <br /> of an alley to the Northerly line of the territory al- <br /> ready zoned for commercial use; thence Easterly along <br /> the Northerly line of said commercial territory to the <br /> Northwesterly line of Longfellow Avenue; thence North- <br /> easterly along said linie of said Avenue to the East corner <br /> of Lot 484 in said Addition; thence Northwesterly to the <br /> North corner of said lot,;- %henc`e Northeasterly to the place <br /> of beginning . <br /> Also the following afcel of land: Beginning at the <br /> Southeast corner of Lot '740" in said Addition; thence North <br /> to the Northeast corner,6f said lot; thence Westerly along <br /> the Southerly line "of a -„pp�,ublic alley to the N rthwest Cor- <br /> ner of Lot 722 in said c*ad.±tion; thence North to the right- <br /> of-way of the Grand Trunk Western Railroad; thence 6outh- <br /> westerly along said right-, f-way to the Northerly line-of <br /> the area or territory already zoned for commercial use; <br /> thence following the line .of said commercial territory in <br /> a Southerly direction to. ortherly line of Mishawaka <br /> Avenue; thence Easterly to the place of beginning . <br /> Also the following pardel of land: Beginning on the <br /> East line of Harriett Street and the North line of the ter- <br /> ritory already zoned for commercial use, which line is about <br /> one-hall block North of Mishawaka Avenue; thence East 1090 <br /> feet; thence Forth 81'. 1/2 degrees West 300 feet; thence West <br /> 340 feet; thence South 83 degrees West to the Northerly line <br /> of the aforesaid commercial district. ” <br /> Be and the same is hereby changed from Residential to "C" use <br /> and. "D" Height and area district. <br /> SECTION 2 <br /> This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from <br /> N and after its passage and legal publication. <br /> i <br /> MEMBER or THE COMMMON COUNCIL. <br />
