RESOLUTION NO. 1056 - g3 A RESOLUTION OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND APPROVING THE ISSUANCE OF A LICENSE FOR A RECYCLING/TRANSFER STATION (STC RECYCLING, INC . ) FOR THE CALENDAR YEAR 1983 . WHEREAS, the Common Council of the City of South Bend recognizes the contributions that recycling operations such as recycling/transfer stations make to the community; and the Council further realizes that such operations must be reasonably regulated in order to minimize any environmental or aesthetic nuisances which may be created by the operations of recycling/transfer stations within the city; and WHEREAS, the Common Council of the City of South Bend has enacted reasonable rules and regulations with regard to the issuance of licenses and the operations of recycling/transfer stations ; and WHEREAS, in accordance with these rules and regulations , inspec- tions of the recycling/transfer station have been completed by the Department of Code Enforcement and the Fire Prevention Bureau, and it has been found that such premises are fit and proper for the maintenance and operation of such a business ; and WHEREAS , the Board of Public Works , at its meeting held on May 16 , 1983 , recommended the approval of the recycling/transfer station license for STC Recycling, Inc . by appropriate action of the Common Council . NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana, as follows : SECTION I. That the license application for the following recycling/transfer station be approved based upon the satisfactory review of the property by the Department of Code Enforcement and the Fire Prevention Bureau as of inspections made on May 13 , 1983 , and subsequent favorable recommendation by the Board of Public Works : STC Recycling, Inc . 445 N. Sheridan St . SECTION II.
