RESOLUTION NO.. / n e P . <br /> RESOLUTION OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> SOUTH BEND DESIGNATING CERTAIN AREAS WITHIN THE <br /> CITY COMMONLY KNOWN AS 701 SOUTH MAIN STREET AS <br /> AN URBAN DEVELOPMENT AREA FOR PURPOSES OF TAX <br /> ABATEMENT CONSIDERATION <br /> WHEREAS, a petition for real property tax abatement <br /> consideration has been filed with the Common Council of the City <br /> of South Bend pursuant to Section 2-76(a) of the Municipal Code <br /> requesting that the area commonly known as 701 South Main Street, <br /> South Bend, Indiana and which more particularly described as fol- <br /> lows: <br /> ALL THAT PARCEL of land, being a portion <br /> of the right of way of railroad of Consoli- <br /> dated Rail Corporation (Formerly Phila- <br /> delphia, Baltimore & Washington Railroad Com- <br /> pany) known as the Plymouth Secondary and <br /> identified as Line Code 3224 in the Township <br /> of Portage, City of South Bend, County of St. <br /> Joseph and State of Indiana, being a part of <br /> the Southwest quarter of the Southwest <br /> quarter of Section 12 , Township 37 North, <br /> Range 2 East; Lots 25, 26, 27 and the east <br /> half of a 14 foot alley in Martin and Tutt' s <br /> Second Southern Addition, which lots and <br /> alley are not vacated; Lots 250 and 251 in <br /> Daniel Garst 's Replat of part of Daniel <br /> Garst' s First Addition; Part of Lot 127 and <br /> vacated alleys in Daniel Garsts ' s First Ad- <br /> dition; more particularly bounded and des- <br /> cribed in accordance with a Plat of Survey <br /> prepared by Mayor Goloubow, Registered Land <br /> Surveyor No. 9974, dated March 30, 1982 and <br /> revised to April 9, 1982 as follows : <br /> BEGINNING at the intersection of the <br /> West line of Main Street with the South line <br /> of Bronson Street, which point is the North- <br /> east corner of Lot 25 as shown on the Origi- <br /> nal Plat of Martin and Tutt ' s Second Southern <br /> Addition to the Town of South Bend, which lot <br /> is now vacated; thence North 89° 56' 40" West <br /> along said South line of Bronson Street <br /> 172.36 feet to the Northeast corner of Tract <br /> No. 2 as shown on the Studebaker Corp. Replat <br /> as recorded in Plat Book 11, Page 184 in the <br /> Office of the Recorder of St. Joseph County, <br /> Indiana; thence South 00° 09 ' 27" East along <br /> said East line of Tract No. 2 a distance of <br /> 764.40 feet to the North line of Tutt Street, <br /> which point is the Southeast corner of said <br /> Tract No. 2 ; thence North 89° 49 ' 37" East <br /> along said North line of Tutt Street, 172.41 <br /> feet to the West line of Main Street, which <br /> point is the Southeast corner of Lot 251 as <br /> shown on Daniel Garst's Replat of part of <br /> Daniel Garst ' s First Addition as recorded in <br />
