RESOLUTION NO. 9j'o -"a <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF <br /> THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, <br /> AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO SUBMIT TO THE <br /> NATIONAL ENDOWMENT FOR THE HUMANITIES <br /> AN APPLICATION FOR A CHALLENGE GRANT. <br /> WHEREAS, the Mayor of the City of South Bend is the Chief <br /> Executive Officer of the City and is the applicant for National Endowment <br /> for the Humanities Funds for Discovery Hall . <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF <br /> THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA: <br /> SECTION I . That the Mayor is authorized to submit an <br /> application for a Challenge Grant to the National Endowment for the <br /> Humanities that will match one federal dollar for every three dollars <br /> raised by the musuem and its support organization. <br /> SECTION II. That Discovery Hall shall submit to the Common <br /> Council a line item budget prior to any expenditures of Grant money received <br /> upon approval of the application. <br /> SECTION III.
