, RESOLUTION NO. 10 ? -13 A RESOLUTION OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO SUBMIT TO THE INDIANA ENERGY DEVELOPMENT BOARD A PROPOSAL APPLICATION FOR A FORGIVABLE LOAN FOR THE SOUTH BEND DAM WATER PROJECT. WHEREAS, the City of South Bend, acting through the Office of the Mayor and Common Council, has aggressively and successfully sought out federal and state assistance to support local efforts and to supplement local resources ; and WHEREAS, the Mayor is the chief executive officer of the City, and is the applicant for a forgivable $50, 000 . 00 loan from the Indiana Energy Development Board for the South Bend Dam Water Project. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Coiiwion Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana: SECTION I . Hereby establish the authority of the Mayor of the City of South Bend to submit a proposal application for a forgivable loan in the amount of Fifty Thousand Dollars ($50, 000. 00) to the Indiana Energy Development Board for the South Bend Dam Water Project. SECTION II. Hereby designate the Department of Economic Development as the administrative agent for the program. The Department of Economic Development shall submit to the Common Council a line item budget in ordinance form prior to any expenditures of any money received upon approval of this application. SECTION III .
