RESOLUTION NO. 1101-83 <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE <br /> CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, COMMENDING <br /> RAYMOND C. ZIELINSKI FOR HIS DEDICATED SERVICE <br /> AS A SIXTH DISTRICT COUNCILMAN SINCE 1981 <br /> WHEREAS, the South Bend Common Council notes with pride the date <br /> of May 13, 1981 , when Raymond C. Zielinski received the unanimous vote <br /> of the Precinct Committeemen to fill the vacated Council seat for the <br /> Sixth District; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana <br /> recognizes that Raymond C. Zielinski has diligently served the <br /> citizens of South Bend and in particular the citizens of the Sixth <br /> District since his election; and <br /> WHEREAS, during this period of time Councilman Zielinski has <br /> served in many capacities, such as, Committee of the Whole Chairman, <br /> past Chairman of the Utilities Committee, Chairman of the Codification <br /> Committee, Chairman of the Public Works Committee, Chairman of the <br /> Studebaker Museum Committee, and Chairman of the Snow Removal <br /> Committee which even managed to bring a mild winter to our area last <br /> year; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Common Council hopes that Councilman Zielinski will <br /> continue to stay active in public service activities and will continue <br /> to make our City a better place to live and work. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City <br /> of South Bend, Indiana, as follows: <br /> SECTION I. On behalf of the citizens of South Bend, Indiana, and <br /> in particular the citizens of the Sixth District, the Common Council <br /> hereby publicly commends Councilman Raymond C. Zielinski for his <br /> dedicated public service as Sixth District Councilman, and say <br /> "Dziekuje. " <br /> SECTION II . The Common Council publicly acknowledges Councilman <br /> Zielinski's many contributions to improve the quality of life ih South <br /> Bend and wishes him and his wife Lorraine, continued good fortune in <br /> the years ahead. <br /> SECTION III.
