RESOLUTION NO. \7L-Ni <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE <br /> CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, AUTHORIZING <br /> THE MAYOR TO SUBMIT TO THE DEPARTMENT OF <br /> HOUSING AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT AN <br /> APPLICATION FOR THE RENTAL REHABILITATION <br /> PROGRAM. <br /> WHEREAS, the Mayor of the City of South Bend, Indiana, is the Chief <br /> Executive Officer of the City and is the applicant for funds made available <br /> through the United States Housing Act (the Act) . The Rental Rehabilitation <br /> Program is authorized by Section 17 of the Act which was enacted into law in <br /> Section 301 of the Housing and Urban-Rural Recovery Act of 1983. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Common Council of the City of <br /> South Bend, Indiana: <br /> SECTION I. That the Mayor of the City of South Rand, Indiana is hereby <br /> authorized to submit the Rental Rehabilitation application to the United States <br /> Department of Housing and Urban Development. <br /> SECTION II.
