City of South Bend <br />February 2, 2009 <br />Page 9 of 10 <br />REPORTING <br />Upon completion of the field and laboratory work, a final report shall be prepared for your review, <br />comment and approval. The report shall include a site plan showing soil boring locations, soil boring logs <br />showing the classification of the subsurface materials encountered and conditions of the soil, analytical <br />results and our findings and conclusions regarding the site. If appropriate, recommendations for <br />additional assessment activities will be made. <br />QUALIFICATIONS <br />Cost estimates for our proposed services have been prepared based on the following assumptions: <br />• WPI will have unlimited access to the site during daylight hours, <br />• WPI will have access to a water source for the floor drain dye testing <br />• No subsurface obstructions such as buried utilities of large fill debris will interfere with our work, <br />• Inclement weather will not interfere with the completion of our field work, <br />• Contaminated soil from the excavation areas will be stockpiled on-site until disposal <br />arrangements can be made, <br />• Groundwater will occur at a depth no greater than 25 feet below land surface, <br />• This proposal does not include the costs for disposal of any investigative derived wastes. <br />AUTHORIZATION <br />Please acknowledge your acceptance of this proposal by signature, where indicated below.
