• RESOLUTION NO. 1207-84 <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE <br /> CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, COMMENDING THE <br /> FIREFIGHTERS AND PARAMEDICS WHO RESPONDED <br /> TO THE HOME OF TONY GADACZ ON SEPTEMBER 23, 1984 <br /> WHEREAS , the Common Council of the City of South Bend, <br /> Indiana, recognizes that firefighters , paramedics and police officers <br /> respond to emergencies on a daily basis in helping to preserve the <br /> • <br /> health and safety of the citizens of our community; and <br /> WHEREAS , on Sunday, September 23., 1984, a response team made <br /> up of firefighters and paramedics responded to an emergency at the <br /> home of Tony Gadacz, 2529 Bonds , South Bend, Indiana; and <br /> WHEREAS , the family of Tony Gadacz, through their grandson, <br /> Councilman Thomas Zakrzewski , wish to personally and publicly thank the <br /> following individuals for trying to save Tony Gadacz' s life : Engine 4 <br /> made up of Captain Joe DeBuysser , Firefighter' Manijak, and Firefighter <br /> Jasicki; and Paramedic Kowalski and Paramedic R. Brandt. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the <br /> City of South Bend, Indiana, as follows : <br /> SECTION I. On behalf of the family of Tony Gadacz through <br /> their grandson, Councilman Thomas Zakrzewski, together with his col- <br /> leagues on the South Bend Common Council , wish to personally and <br /> publicly thank the firefighters of Engine 4 and the two paramedics <br /> who responded to the emergency call at 2529 Bonds on September 23 , 1984. <br /> SECTION II , The Common Council extends their deepest sympathy <br /> to the family of Tony Gadacz,and hope that the rich and abundant <br /> memories of him, especially as a South Bend firefighter, will help <br /> brighten their days ahead, <br /> SECTION III . This Resolution shall he in full force and effect <br /> upon its adoption by the Common Council and approval by the Mayor. <br /> Member of the Commdh Council <br /> Adopted October 8, 1984 <br />
