RESOLUTION NO. tat $- 8 4 <br /> A RESOLUTION CONFIRMING THE ADOPTION OF A DECLARATORY <br /> RESOLUTION DESIGNATING CERTAIN AREAS WITHIN THE CITY <br /> OF SOUTH BEND, COMMONLY KNOWN AS 1701, 1801, 1818, <br /> AND 1819 SOUTH MAIN STREET, SOUTH BEND, INDIANA <br /> TO BE AN ECONOMIC REVITALIZATION AREA FOR PURPOSES <br /> OF PERSONAL PROPERTY TAX ABATEMENT. <br /> WHEREAS, the Common Council of the City of South Bend <br /> has adopted a Declaratory Resolution designating certain areas <br /> within the City as Economic Revitalization Areas for the pur- <br /> pose of tax abatement consideration; and <br /> WHEREAS, a Declaratory Resolution designated the area <br /> commonly known as 1701, 1801, 1818 and 1819 South Main Street, <br /> South Bend, Indiana and more particularly described as follows : <br /> The following parcels of real estate located in St. <br /> Joseph County, Indiana: <br /> A parcel of land being a part of Perley Lumber Com- <br /> pany's Addition and a part of the Southwest Quarter of <br /> Section 13 , Township 37 North, Range 2 East, City of <br /> South Bend, Portage Township, St. Joseph County, <br /> Indiana and being more particularly described as <br /> follows: <br /> Beginning at a point on the West right-of-way line of <br /> Main Street, said point being the Southeast corner of <br /> a parcel of land conveyed to Abner M. Mellander and <br /> Bernard F. Hacker by deed recorded in Deed Record 725, <br /> page 93 , in the office of the Recorder of St. Joseph <br /> County, Indiana; thence South 0°-05 ' -59" East along <br /> said West right-of-way line of Main Street, a distance <br /> of 108.29 feet; thence South 89°-51 ' 05" West, parallel <br /> with the South line of said Mellander/Hacker parcel, a <br /> distance of 170.60 feet to the East right-of-way line <br /> of the Consolidated Rail Corporation; thence North <br /> 0°-04 ' -06" East along said right-of-way, a distance of <br /> 108 .29 feet to its intersection with the Westerly <br /> projection of the South line of said Mellander/ Hacker <br /> parcel of land; thence North 89°-51 ' -05" East, along <br /> said projection and said South line, a distance of <br /> 170.28 feet to the place of beginning containing <br /> 18 , 457 square feet, more or less. <br /> A parcel of land being a part of Creed ' s 2nd Addition <br /> and a part of the Southwest Quarter of Section 13 , <br /> Township 37 North, Range 2 East, City of South Bend , <br /> Portage Township, St. Joseph County, Indiana, and <br /> being more particularly described as follows : <br /> Beginning at a point on the West right-of-way line of <br /> Main Street, a distance of 94 . 25 feet South 0°-05 ' -59" <br /> East of said West right-of-way ' s intersection with the <br /> centerline of a 14 foot vacated alley lying between <br /> lots 6 and 7 in said Creed 's 2nd Addition; thence <br /> South 0°-05 ' -59" East along said West right-of-way <br /> line, a distance of 206 .92 feet; thence North <br /> 89°-35 ' -02" West, a distance of 169.63 feet to the <br /> East right-of-way line of the Consolidated Rail Cor- <br /> poration; thence North 0°-04 ' -06" East along said East <br /> right-of-way line, a distance of 206.91 feet; thence <br /> South 89°-35 ' -02" East, a distance of 169 .02 feet to <br /> the place of beginning containing 35,036 square feet, <br /> more or less. <br />
