RESOLUTION NO. A RESOLUTION CONFIRMING THE ADOPTION OF A DECLARATORY RESOLUTION DESIGNATING CERTAIN AREAS WITHIN THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, COMMONLY KNOWN AS THE SOUTHEAST CORNER OF MAIN AND WASHINGTON STREETS, SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, TO BE AN ECONOMIC REVITALIZATION AREA FOR PURPOSES OF TAX ABATEMENT. WHEREAS, the Common Council of the City of South Bend has adopted a Declaratory Resolution designating certain areas within the City as Economic Revitalization Areas for the pur- pose of tax abatement consideration; and WHEREAS, a Declaratory Resolution designated the area commonly known as the Southeast Corner of Main and Washington Streets, South Bend, Indiana , and more particularly described as follows: The following described real estate in the City of South Bend, St. Joseph County, Indiana, to-wit: Lots Numbered Thirty-Five (35) and Thirty-Six (36) as shown on the recorded Original Plat of the Town, now City of South Bend, St. Joseph County, Indiana , except a strip of land 21 feet in width East and West, taken off of and from the entire East end of said lots, more particularly described as follows: North on and along the West line of Lots 35 and 36 , a distance of 132 .45 feet to the Northwest corner of Lot 36; thence East on and along the North line of Lot 36 a dis- tance of 144 .73 feet to a point that is 21 .0 feet West of the Northeast corner of said Lot 36 ; thence South a distance of 132 .45 feet to a point on the South line of said Lot 35, that is 21. 0 feet West of the Southeast corner of Lot 35; thence West on and along the South line of said lot 35 a distance of 144 .73 feet to the point of beginning. A part of the 14 foot wide alley that is known as Rasmussen Court and the Eastern 21 feet of Lots Numbered Thirty-five (35) and Thirty-six (36) of the Original Plat of the Town (now City) of South Bend, St. Joseph County, Indiana, more particu- larly described as follows: Beginning at the Northwest corner of Lot 25 of the Original Plat of the Town (now City) of South Bend , St. Joseph County, Indiana; thence South a distance of 132 .45 feet along the East line of said alley to the Southwest corner of Lot 26; thence West a distance of 35.0 feet along the prolongation of the South line of Lot 26; thence North a distance of 132 .45 feet and parallel to the West line of the alley; thence East a distance of 35. 0 feet along the prolongation of the North line of Lot 36 to the point of beginning. as an Economic Revitalization Area; and WHEREAS, notice of the adoption of a Declaratory Reso- lution and the public hearing before the Council has been pub- lished pursuant to Indiana Code 6-1 .1-12 .1-2-5, and WHEREAS, the Council held a public hearing for the purposes of hearing all remonstrances and objections from interested persons; and
