RESOLUTION NO. 140j-eV <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br /> OF SOUTH BEND DESIGNATING CERTAIN AREAS <br /> WITHIN THE CITY COMMONLY KNOWN AS 710 SOUTH <br /> RUSH STREET AN ECONOMIC REVITALIZATION AREA FOR <br /> PURPOSES OF PERSONAL PROPERTY TAX ABATEMENT. <br /> WHEREAS, a petition for personal property tax <br /> abatement consideration has been filed with the Common Council <br /> of the City of South Bend, requesting that the area commonly <br /> known as 710 South Rush Street, South Bend, Indiana, and which <br /> is more particularly described as follows: <br /> A parcel of property in St. Joseph County <br /> (sometimes known as Monroe-Sample Disposi- <br /> tion Parcel No. 4) more particularly de- <br /> scribed as follows: <br /> Lots Numbered Seventy-five (75) , <br /> Seventy-six (76) , Seventy-seven (77) , <br /> Seventy-eight (78) , Seventy-nine (79) , <br /> Eighty (80) , Eighty-one (81) , Eighty-two <br /> (82) , Eighty-three (83) , Eighty-four (84) , <br /> Eighty-five (85) , Eighty-six (86) , Eighty- <br /> seven (87) , Eighty-eight (88) , Eighty-nine <br /> (89) , Ninety (90) in Rush' s Fourth Addition <br /> to the City of South Bend, as found in Plat <br /> Book 4 , page 54; ALSO Lots Numbered One Hun- <br /> dred Forty-seven (147) , One Hundred Forty- <br /> eight (148) , One Hundred Thirty-nine (139) <br /> and One Hundred Forty (140) in Edward H. <br /> Rush's First Addition to the City of South <br /> Bend as found in Plat Book 7 , page 8 in the <br /> Office of the Recorder of St. Joseph County, <br /> Indiana. <br /> DESCRIBED MORE SPECIFICALLY AS FOL- <br /> LOWS: The commencing point being at the <br /> Northwest corner of Lot 75 in said Rush ' s <br /> 4th Addition; thence South 0°04 ' East 419 .9 <br /> feet to the Southwest corner of Lot 148 in <br /> said Edward H. Rush' s First Addition; thence <br /> South 89°49 ' East 254. 1 feet to the South- <br /> east corner of Lot 140 in said Edward H. <br /> Rush 's First Addition; thence 0°03 ' West <br /> 419. 9 feet to the Northeast corner of Lot 83 <br /> in said Rush ' s 4th Addition; thence North <br /> 89°49 ' West 254. 2 feet to the point of com- <br /> mencing . EXCEPT all North-South and East- <br /> West alleys between said lots. <br /> be designated as an Economic Revitalization Area under the <br /> provisions of Indiana Code 6-1.1-12. 1-1, et seq. ; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Redevelopment Commission has concluded an <br /> investigation and prepared a report with information sufficient <br /> for the Common Council to determine that the area qualifies as <br /> an Economic Revitalization Area under Indiana Code 6-1. 1-12. 1-1, <br /> et seq. , and has further prepared maps and plats showing the <br /> boundaries and such other information as required by law of the <br /> area in question; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Human Resources and Economic Development <br /> Committee of the Common Council has reviewed said report and <br /> recommended to the Common Council that the area qualifies as an <br /> Economic Revitalization Area. <br />
