RESOLUTION NO. 1. 7 / - C <br /> A RESOLUTION CONFIRMING THE ADOPTION OF A DECLARATORY <br /> RESOLUTION DESIGNATING CERTAIN AREAS WITHIN THE CITY <br /> OF SOUTH BEND, COMMONLY KNOWN AS 1145 PRAIRIE AVENUE <br /> TO BE AN ECONOMIC REVITALIZATION AREA FOR THE <br /> PURPOSES OF REAL PROPERTY TAX ABATEMENT <br /> WHEREAS, the Common Council of the City of South Bend <br /> has adopted a Declaratory Resolution designating certain areas <br /> within the City as Economic Revitalization Areas for the purpose <br /> of tax abatement consideration; and <br /> WHEREAS, a Declaratory Resolution designated the area <br /> which area is located in the area known as the Enterprise Zone <br /> and commonly known as 1145 Prairie Avenue, South Bend, Indiana, <br /> and more particulary described by a line drawn as follows : <br /> A parcel of land in the East Half ( 1/2) of <br /> the Northwest Quarter (1/4 ) of Section 14, <br /> Township 37 North, Range 2 East of the Second <br /> Principal Meridian in the City of South Bend, <br /> County of St. Joseph, State of Indiana, more <br /> particularly described as follows, viz: <br /> Commencing at the intersection of the South <br /> line of Garst Street with the Westerly line <br /> of Prairie Avenue; thence South 28°18 ' 06" <br /> West along and with the Westerly line of <br /> Prairie Avenue, a distance of 50. 99 feet to <br /> the Southeast corner of a 45 foot easement, <br /> said point being 45 feet South of the South <br /> line of Garst Street, by right angle measure- <br /> ment; thence North 89°46 ' 31" West along and <br /> with the South line of said easement, a dis- <br /> tance of 771. 42 feet to the point of begin- <br /> ning of this description; thence South <br /> 28°15 ' 41" West a distance of 998. 17 feet; <br /> thence South 61°46 ' 50" East a distance of <br /> 309.05 feet; thence North 28°19 ' 18" East a <br /> distance of 349. 17 feet; thence North <br /> 61°55 ' 11" West a distance of 269. 20 feet; <br /> thence North 28°10 ' 14" East a distance of <br /> 587. 13 feet; thence North 89°46 ' 31" West a <br /> distance of 45. 97 feet to the place of begin- <br /> ning. <br /> Parts of the West Half (1/2 ) of the Northeast <br /> Quarter (1/4 ) and the East Half ( 1/2 ) of the <br /> Northwest Quarter (1/4 ) of Section Fourteen <br /> (14 ) , Township Thirty-seven (37) North, Range <br /> Two (2 ) East of the Second Principal Meri- <br /> dian, more particularly described as commen- <br /> cing at a point on the West line of Prairie <br /> Avenue, 50. 99 feet southwesterly of the South <br /> line of Garst Street, as measured along said <br /> West line of Prairie Avenue, thence North <br /> 89°47 ' 48" West along a line 45.00 feet south <br /> of and parallel to the said South line of <br /> Garst Street, a distance of 464.53 feet for a <br /> point of beginning; thence South 28°14 '42" <br /> West a distance of 708. 65 feet to a point; <br />
