H S®S-I-Cy <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> SOUTH BEND,INDIANA PUBLICLY HONORING, COMMENDING AND THANKING <br /> ANGEL HERNANDEZ FOR HIS MORE THAN 35 YEARS OF DEDICATION AND EXCELLENCE <br /> IN THE BROADCASTING AND VIDEO PRODUCTION FIELDS <br /> Off0142741 the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana, recognizes that Cuban-born Angel <br /> Hernandez was raised in Westchester County, New York, and began working with WNIT in 2005; and <br /> v//feeme, Mr. Hernandez was well known for his work as a station manager at WLRN-FM in Miami, <br /> Florida, where he worked with a production staff of fifty (50) persons, and as a Vice-President of production at <br /> WITF-TV in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania where some of their best-known productions included a 2004 production <br /> showcasing Pennsylvania's Historic Firehouses and a 2005 production on "Our Town, Annville” a small town <br /> located in Lebanon County; and <br /> Olifeares, when Mr. Hernandez brought his production skills to WNIT as its Vice-President of Production, <br /> he quickly began working on documentaries such as "Our Town: Goshen" in 2010, where Mr. Hernandez noted <br /> that "I made it more like storytelling segments where people would actually have the opportunity to talk about <br /> why they taped what they taped and why they love living in that area, so it became more of a story about the town <br /> from the point of view of the videographers". In 2010, WNIT's documentary "Kicking the Notes the Toradze <br /> Way"which focused on Alexander Toradze and his Piano Studio at Indiana University South Bend, was selected <br /> as a finalist at the prestigious International Television Festival Golden Prague Awards in the Czech Republic, and <br /> won a regional Emmy award in two categories that year,which were presented in Chicago; and <br /> y Mr. Hernandez was selected by Indiana University South Bend as a "Sustainability Fellow" <br /> which recognized him as an award-winning producer who has placed programs on PBS, The Learning Channel, <br /> The Travel Channel, the Telemundo Network, the American Public Television System, and Japan's N.H.K; and <br /> has led his production teams to be nominated for over twenty(20)regional Emmys and nine(9) Associated Press <br /> Awards, during his career. <br /> agmas r4 leatal4 *de �`amman ?YOaneilleMe iGioasE end Siam, cafe/k rst <br /> Section I.
