RESOLUTION NO. 1388-86 <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE <br /> CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, COMMENDING <br /> BEVERLY D. CRONE FOR HER DEDICATED PUBLIC <br /> SERVICE AS A SOUTH BEND COUNCILMAN-AT-LARGE <br /> WHEREAS, the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana, <br /> recognizes that Beverly D. Crone has diligently served the citizens of South <br /> Bend as a Councilman-at-Large since January 1, 1980; and <br /> WHEREAS, as Chairman of the Council's Personnel and Finance committee <br /> in the early 1980's she earned a reputation of meticulously reviewing all <br /> municipal budgets for possible tax savings; and <br /> WHEREAS, Councilman Crone authored the sewage insurance rate reduction <br /> ordinance which resulted in savings to residential customers yet maintained <br /> the fiscal integrity of the program and the Older Adult Council for the <br /> City; and <br /> WHEREAS, Councilman Crone will long be remembered as a person who <br /> stands up and fights for what she believes in. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of <br /> South Bend, Indiana, as follows: <br /> SECTION I. On behalf of all of the citizens of the City of South <br /> Bend, Indiana, the Common Council hereby publicly commends and thanks <br /> Beverly D. Crone for her dedicated public service as a Councilman-at-large. <br /> SECTION II. The Common Council publicly acknowledges Councilman <br /> Crone's contributions to help improve the City of South Bend, and wishes her <br /> continued success as she serves as County Auditor for St. Joseph County. <br /> SECTION III.
