RESOLUTION NO. (37 '.- <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE <br /> CITY OF SOUTH BEND DESIGNATING CERTAIN <br /> AREAS WITHIN THE CITY COMMONLY KNOWN AS <br /> 2001 WEST WASHINGTON STREET <br /> AN ECONOMIC REVITALIZATION AREA FOR <br /> PURPOSES OF PERSONAL PROPERTY TAX ABATEMENT. <br /> WHEREAS, a petition for personal property tax abate- <br /> ment consideration has been filed with the Common Council of <br /> the City of South Bend, requesting that the area commonly known <br /> as 2001 West Washington Street, South Bend, Indiana, and which <br /> is more particularly described as follows : <br /> Parcel I Lots Numbered 28, 29 , 30 , 31, 32 , 33 , 44 , 45, 46, <br /> 47, and 48 as shown on the recorded Plat of <br /> College Grove, as platted by Benjamin Winans, mow <br /> a part of the City of South Bend together with <br /> vacated Johnson Street lying between said lots <br /> 29, 30, 31, 32 , 46, and 47; also together with <br /> vacated Brookfield Street lying between said lots <br /> 29, 32 , 28, 33 , 44 , and 45; together with vacated <br /> Colfax Street lying between lots 31, 47, 48 , 32 , <br /> 46, 45, 44 , lot 33 of said College Grove Addition <br /> and Lot Numbered 1 as shown on the recorded Plat <br /> of Hosinski ' s Subdivision of Lot 43 College Grove. <br /> Parcel II Lots Numbered 1, 2 , 3 , 4 , and 5 as shown on the <br /> recorded Plat of Hosinski ' s Subdivision of Lot <br /> Numbered 43 of College Grove Addition, now a part <br /> of the City of South Bend. <br /> Parcel III Tract designated "A" as shown on the recorded <br /> Plat of Clement Studebaker ' s Oak Grove Subdivi- <br /> sion, now a part of the City of South Bend. <br /> Parcel IV Vacated Grant Street lying between Tract desig- <br /> nated "A" as shown on the recorded Plat of <br /> Clements Studebaker ' s Oak Grove Subdivision and <br /> Lots Numbered 30, 31, and 48 as shown on the <br /> recorded Plat of College Grove, as platted by <br /> Benjamin Winans . <br /> Parcel V The vacated north-south alley lying between Lot <br /> Numbered 44 of College Grove Addition and Lots <br /> Numbered 1, 2 , 3 , and 5 of Hosinski ' s Subdivision. <br /> be designated as an Economic Revitalization Area under the pro- <br /> visions of Indiana Code 6-1 . 1-12 , 1-1, et seq. ; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Redevelopment Commission has concluded an <br /> investigation and prepared a report with information sufficient <br /> for the Common Council to determine that the area qualifies as <br /> an Economic Revitalization Area under Indiana Code <br /> 6-1 . 1-12 , 1-1, et seq. , and has further prepared maps and plats <br /> showing the boundaries and such other information as required <br /> by law of the area in question; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Human Resources and Economic Development <br /> Committee of the Common Council has reviewed said report and <br /> recommended to the Common Council that the area qualifies as an <br /> Economic Revitalization Area . <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council <br /> of the City of South Bend, Indiana, as follows : <br /> SECTION I . That the Common Council hereby accepts the <br /> report and recommendation of the Human Resources and Economic <br /> Development Committee that the area herein described be desig- <br />
