ORDINANCE NO_ of v.e. <br /> AN ORDINANCE REQUIRING THE NEW YORK CENTRAL RAILROAD COMPANY <br /> TO MAINTAIN A WATCHMAN AT THE fINTERSECTION OF TRUEST <br /> DIVISION STREET AND 304TH WALNUT STREET FOR 24 <br /> HOURS EACH DAY AND REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES <br /> IN CONFLICT THEREWITH <br /> BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of <br /> South Bend, Indiana. <br /> SECTION 1. <br /> That the New York Central Railroad Company be, and it- <br /> is hereby, recuired. to maintain a watchman continuously for (24- <br /> hours each day at the intersection of its right-of-way with West <br /> Division Street and South Walnut Street in the City of South <br /> Bend, Indiana, <br /> SECTION 2. <br /> That all Ordinances heretofore enacted relating to the <br /> establishment and maintenance of gates at said intersection and <br /> crossing are hereby repealed. <br /> SECTION 3. <br /> Section One <br /> Any vio ation of the foregoing Ordinance shall subject <br /> said Railroad Company to a penalty of not less than Fifty Dollars <br /> ($50.00) and each day' s violation thereof shall constitute a <br /> separate and distinct offense. <br /> SECTION 4. <br /> This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from <br /> and after its passage and legal publication. <br /> // MEMBER OF THE COMMON OUNCIL <br />
