RESOLUTION NO. I C\ a-$ 7 A RESOLUTION OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND APPROVING THE CITY CONTROLLER' S DESIGNATION OF A THIRD PARTY TO ISSUE PET LICENSES WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 7735-87 of the Common Council of the City of South Bend empowers the City Controller with the authority to designate a third party as an agent to issue pet licenses; and WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 7735-87 requires that such designation must be made by the City Controller by the filing of an appropriate Resolution with the Common Council for their consideration and approval; and WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 7735-87 authorizes such designation on a yearly basis but provides for a longer term if such is consistent with the contract between the City and the third party; and NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana, as follows: SECTION I. The Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana has considered and hereby approves the authority of the City Controller to designate The St. Joseph Humane Society as a third party agent authorized to issue pet licenses. SECTION II. The Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana authorizes such designation for a term effective not earlier than June 1, 1987 and not later than December 31, 1988. SECTION III.
