ORDINANCE NO. O r b <br />AN ORDINANCE RELATING TO TIN; PROTECTION OF THE <br />MBREAS, by virtue of the amount of traffic at the intersections <br />of the right -of -way of the Grand Trunk Western Railway Company and Thirty- <br />fifth Street, and also at Logan Street, public highways in the city of <br />South Bend, Indiana, there is need of proper protection for the traveling <br />publicl by the installation of warning signals at these\ Intersections; <br />and <br />MREAS, in the opinion of this Common Council, automatic track <br />circuit signals, commonly known as flashlights, are clearly as good for <br />the protection of the public as any other safeguard. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, Be it ordained by the Common Council of the <br />City of South Bend: <br />SECTION 1. That the said Grand Trunk Western Railway Company <br />be and it is hereby required to protect Thirty -fifth Street, and also, <br />Logan Street, in the City of South Bend, Indiana, with automatic track <br />circuit signals at the intersection of its railroad with said streets, <br />which protection shall continue during the full twenty -four (24) hours <br />of each day. <br />SECTION 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances and resolutions <br />inconsistent herewith are hereby repealed. <br />SECTION 3. Any violation of the provisions of this ordinance <br />shall be punished by a fine of not less than Fifty Dollars ($50.00)1 <br />and each day's violation shall constitute a separate offense. <br />SECTION 4.
