South Bend Redevelopment Commission <br />Regular Meeting — January 2, 2008 <br />3. ELECTION OF OFFICERS (CONT.) <br />Commission. The nomination was seconded by Ms. <br />King. There were no further nominations. The vote <br />being unanimous, Mr. Varner was elected Vice <br />President for 2009. <br />SECRETARY <br />Ms. Jones nominated Ms. King to serve as Secretary of <br />the South Bend Redevelopment Commission. The <br />nomination was seconded by Mr. Varner. There were <br />no further nominations. The vote being unanimous, Ms. <br />Nancy King was elected Secretary for 2009. <br />4. ADOPTION OF RESOLUTION NO. 2549 <br />SETTING MAXIMUM SALARIES FOR 2009 AND <br />APPOINTING STAFF <br />Mr. Inks noted that the salaries in Resolution No. 2549 <br />correspond to the salaries approved by the Common <br />Council for these positions in 2009. Staff do not <br />necessarily receive the maximum salary for their <br />positions and not every job classification is filled at the <br />present time. <br />Upon a motion by Ms. King, seconded by Mr. Varner <br />and unanimously carried, the Commission approved <br />Resolution No. 2549 setting maximum salaries for 2009 <br />and appointing staff <br />5. ADOPTION OF RESOLUTION NO. 2550 <br />APPROVING A SCHEDULE OF REGULAR <br />MEETING TIMES FOR CALENDAR YEAR 2009 <br />Ms. Jones noted that unless otherwise scheduled the <br />meetings for 2009 will be held at 10:00 a.m. on the first <br />and third Fridays of every month. Exhibit A to <br />Resolution No. 2550 lists the actual meeting dates <br />planned for 2009.
