Mr. Gibney <br />responded that the NNRO approached Weiss <br />Homes to build these homes. The Triangle <br />Area is not ready yet for development, but <br />the NNRO wanted to get some model homes <br />up in this price range to demonstrate what <br />could be done in the Triangle Area with well - <br />designed homes. These homes are part of <br />that strategy. <br />Ms. Jones noted that the vacant land has <br />produced far less taxes than the property will, <br />even during the abatement period. <br />Upon a motion by Mr. Downes, seconded by <br />Mr. Varner and unanimously carried, the <br />Commission approved Resolution No. 2529 <br />approving an application for real property tax <br />deduction for property located at 719 and 725 <br />Turnock Street in the Northeast <br />Neighborhood Development Area. <br />(Northeast Neighborhood Revitalization <br />Organization & Weiss Homes. <br />(2) Resolution No. 2530 approving an <br />application for real property tax deduction <br />for property located at 3615 Voorde Drive <br />in the Airport Economic Development <br />Area. (Fortis Plastics) <br />Mr. Mathia gave the staff report on the <br />project, both real and personal property. <br />Fortis Plastics is an extruder of plastic <br />components used in a variety of industrial <br />and consumer applications.
