I <br />salary,and to pay in addition to the salary.to the Pound Master th <br />necessary cost of maintaining said pound over and above the r eeeip <br />from the operation of the same,and there is hereby appropriated to <br />the Board of Public Safety for the purposes aforesaid,out of any <br />moneys on hand not specifically appropriated, the sum of Twenty -fiv <br />Hundred Dollars ($2500). <br />Section 4. The owner of any dog immunized against rabies <br />shall procure a written certificate of vaeoination,on forms to be <br />approved by the secretary of the Board of Public Safety,.whioh cer- <br />tifioate shall give an accurate description of the dog,the dato of <br />Immunization, the name and address of the owner of the dog;which <br />certificate shall be signed by the veterinarysiministering the <br />vaccine* <br />Section b. A fee of not more than Two Dollars ($2.00) <br />be paid for the immunization against rabies of each dog so vaocina ed, <br />which shall include the issuance of such certificate of immunize - <br />tion;provided,however,that if any veterinarian in private practice <br />shall charge more than said sum for his services,the owner of said <br />dog may procure the immunization of said dog by applying to the s d <br />Board of Public Safety which shall provides, veterinarian who will <br />render said service for said fee. <br />Section 8. All vaccine for immunizing dogs against rabies <br />shall be a recognized antirabies serum approved by the Board of <br />Health of the city of South Bend and it shall be unlawful for <br />serum not so approved a,44 recognized to be used. <br />Section 7. Any dog running at large in the city of South <br />Bend,Ind$na,not properly immunized and provided with collar to <br />which is attached the metal tag as aforesaid,or any dog not so <br />muzzled so that it is impossible for him to bite a human being, <br />shall be taken up by the police and impounded in said dog pound. <br />Section 8; The Pound Master shall safely keep and care <br />any dog so impounded for a period of three (3) days and during <br />said period of time shall see that said animal is humanely t <br />and properly fed and watered. At any time within said period the <br />owner of said dog upon proof of ownership satisfactory to the <br />4 <br />
