;��J15 "' k. <br />ORDINANCE NO. a "-7'71. <br />1Us 'N 1` V M' Y•� • 111. +� : 1 •1:$ IM <br />••; , 1 1.1 :Piiuf In :��!�1 9:d' <br />•o Y�i' .;1' 4'7:H" e 1 1 Y•101 ' !. 1 ' { <br />WHEREAS, The Pennsylvania Railroad Company has heretofore <br />duly installed flashlight signals at the crossing of its railroad over <br />Indiana Avenues Broadway Streets Stull Streets Garst Streets Sample Street <br />and Tutt Street in the city of South Bends Indianan and has maintained such <br />flashlight signal systems in good working order and condition for several <br />months last pasts ands <br />WAEEMASs this Council is of the opinion that such flashlight <br />signal systems protects the public in as efficient manners and perhaps more <br />efficient manner than the watchman can. <br />NOW TIMMOREn BE IT ORDAINS➢ by the Common Council of the <br />city of South Betlds Indiana: <br />Section 1. That from and after this dates and so long as a <br />flashlight signal system is duly and properly maintained at each of said <br />crossings* or until further ordered$ directed or ordained by the said city <br />of South Bends through its Common Councils the respective ordinanoes requiring <br />watchmen at said crossings ben and the same are hereby rendered inoperative <br />and ineffective. <br />Section 2. That this Ordinance shall be in effect immediately <br />upon its passage by the Crimson Council and approved by the Mayor of the city <br />of South Bends Indiana. <br />ry <br />F <br />
