R <br />ORDINANCE NO. � '? o <br />AN ORDINANCE REGULATING AND PROHIBITING THE STORING <br />AND / OR PILING OF C010USTIBLE HATERIAL WITHIN <br />THE LII -TITS OF TIE; CITY OF SOUTH BEND, I17DIANA. <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE C012,10N COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />SOUTH BEND, INDIANA: <br />SECTION 1. That the storing and /or piling of combustible <br />material, including lumber wood, straw, tar, pitch, rosin, hay,n.4-" <br />cotton, hemp, wool, dynamite and gun cotton in such quantities <br />in any building or on any lot or parcel of open ground within <br />the city of South Bend, Indiana, in such quantities as to render <br />same a fire hazard or in case of fire detrimental to person and <br />property, is hereby prohibited except upon a permit issued by <br />the chief of the Fire Department through the Board.of Safety <br />of the City of South. Bend, Indiana, upon written request filed <br />with the board of Public Safety stating that material is to be <br />so stored or piled, the place on which it is desired that the <br />same be stored or piled and the time or times in which such will <br />be done. <br />Section 11. The storing and /or piling of such material <br />in compliance with this ordinance shall not be construed as re- <br />lieving any person, firm o "r corporation obtaining such permit <br />from compliance with other ordinances heretofore enacted and this <br />ordinance shall be eonstrued as accumulative rather than amendatory <br />by implication. <br />Section 111.
