3 <br />ORDINANCE NO / <br />AN ORDINANCE REQURING THE NEW YORK CENTRAL RAILROAD <br />COMPANY, TIT NEW RERSEY, INDIANA & ILLINOIS RAIL - <br />ROAD COMPANY AND THE INDIANA NORTHERN RAILWAY <br />COMPANY TO MAINTAIN AN ELECTRIC STREET LIGHT AT <br />THEIR CROSSING AT WALNUT STREET NORTH OF THE INTER- <br />SECTION OF WALNUT STREET WITH INDIANA AVENUE. <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA: <br />Section 1 <br />That the New York Central Railroad Companjj ^the <br />New Jereey, Indiana & Illinois Railroad Company and the <br />Indiana Northern Railway Company be and the same are hereby <br />ordered and required to keep and maintain an electric <br />street light at the crossing of their tracks over Walnut <br />Street, ju2t North of the intersection of said Walnut <br />Street and Indiana Avenue in the city of South Bend; and <br />that said street light be of six thousand (6,000) lumen <br />output and be kept burning during the entire night time of <br />each twenty -four (24) hours. <br />Section 2 <br />That any person, firm or corporation who violates <br />any provision of this ordinance, shall be fined in any sum <br />not exceeding twenty -five ($25.00) dollars; and each day's <br />violation thereof shall constitute a separate and distinct <br />offense. <br />Section 3. <br />This ordinance shall be in full force and effect <br />from and after its adoiption and legal publication. <br />iC!"'o <br />IM-01 <br />• - �i • om • • <br />
