Councilmember Mr. Ferlic seconded the <br />motion which carried by a voice vote of nine (9) ayes. <br />SPECIAL BUSINESS <br />BILL NO. 14 -69 A RESOLUTION OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF <br />THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, PUBLICLY <br />COMMENDING THE VOYAGES PROGRAM AND ITS <br />CREATOR AND DIRECTOR RAY TURNER <br />Council President Oliver Davis, Jr. it was a pleasure to be at their closing ceremony last Friday. <br />It is an honor to read this resolution to them, along reading with me will also be Councilmember <br />Henry Davis, Jr. <br />Sister -In- Law - Ray Turner has shown in his lifestyle and his work that he has committed his life <br />to young African- American boys that they can grow up to be African - American men. <br />Wife- I would like to publicly applaud my husband for his love of the children and dedication to <br />their development towards successful young men. <br />Jane Walker- It is my pleasure to see his program develop and grow throughout the years. Ray <br />Turner is a committed, dedicated member to this community. I applaud his efforts and I thank <br />my sister, his wife in supporting him and being by his side. I look forward to the growth in the <br />fixture. <br />
