Councilmember Mr. Gavin Ferlic seconded the <br />motion which carried by a voice vote of seven (7) ayes and one (1) nay by Councilmember <br />Derek Dieter. <br />SPECIAL BUSINESS <br />Council President Tim Scott announced Bill 18 -15 regarding hand -held device has been <br />continued indefinitely. Those here regarding the trash fees 2016 that has been continued to July <br />27d'. <br />Committee Citizen Member, Ronald Okoye of the Zoning and Annexation Committee was <br />sworn in. <br />15 -54 A RESOLUTION OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH <br />BEND, INDIANA, HONORING, COMMENDING AND THANKING DONALD <br />J. NAPOLI FOR MORE THAN 37 YEARS OF DEDICATED SERVICE <br />TO OUR COMMUNITY AS DIRECTOR OF THE ST. JOSEPH COUNTY <br />LIBRARY <br />the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana recognizes that on March <br />10, 1941, Donald J. Napoli was born in Somerville, Massachusetts, to Lucy (DeDeominicis) and <br />Pasquale Napoli; and <br />6A" the Common Council further recognizes that Mr. Napoli received his AB from <br />Boston College in 1964,served as a Captain of the Ordinance Corps in the U.S. Army from 1965- <br />1967, and then continued his studies by earning a Master's Degree in Library Science from <br />Catholic University of America in 1971; and <br />6A" the Common Council notes that in the 126 -year history of the St. Joseph County <br />Public Library District, there have been five (5) Directors, with Donald J. Napoli serving in that <br />capacity the past 37 years; and <br />1 <br />
