ORDINANCE <br />N0. �o"?3 <br />AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND SECTION 2 OF ORDINANCE <br />3007 ADOPTED NOVEMBER 14, 1932, BEING "AN <br />ORDINANCE CONCERNING 'WATER HEATERS." <br />Be it ordained by the Common Council of the City <br />of South Bend, Indiana, that section 2 of ordinance No. 3007 <br />adopted by the Common Council of the City of South Bend <br />November 142 1932, being an ordinance concerning water <br />heaters be amended to read as follows: <br />Section 2. All gas supply valves to water heat- <br />ers must be provided with a controlling device to <br />prevent explosions of range or domestic boilers and <br />which will prevent a back flow of hot water through <br />cold water supply. The said controlling device <br />shall be approved by the Plumbing Inspector. <br />All such gas heaters shall be provided with a <br />flue pipe in size up to 4 " -26 gauge, from 5" to <br />6" -24 gauge and from 7" up,.22 gauge.
