BETWEEN CARLISLE ST. AND <br />WARREN ST. <br />Mr. Gilot indicated that Theresa Lycznski, 2120 Western Avenue, South Bend, IN 46619, has <br />submitted a request to vacate the above referenced alley. Mr. Gilot advised the Board is in <br />receipt of favorable recommendations concerning this Vacation Petition from the Area Plan <br />Commission, Police Department, Community Investment and Engineering. Mr. Corbitt Kerr, <br />Engineering, stated an easement will be needed on the properties' one side of the other to allow <br />long trucks to make turns from northbound alley. Area Plan stated the vacation would not hinder <br />the growth or orderly development of the unit or neighborhood in which it is located or to which <br />it is contiguous. The vacation would not make access to the Iands of the aggrieved person by <br />means of public way difficult or inconvenient. The vacation would not hinder the public's access <br />to a church, school or other public building or place. The vacation would not hinder the use of a <br />public right -of -way by the neighborhood in which it is located or to which it is contiguous. <br />Therefore, Mr. Relos made a motion recommending approval of the request for vacation subject <br />to an easement as defined in a drawing to be prepared by the City Engineer. Ms. Maradik <br />seconded the motion which carried. <br />FAVORABLE RECOMMENDATION - PETITION TO VACATE THE FIRST EAST /WEST <br />ALLEY SOUTH OF LINCOLNWAY WEST FROM IOWA TO FIRST <br />ALLEY /SOUTH <br />Mr. Mr. Gilot indicated that Kayla Patel, PO Box 3454, South Bend, IN 46619, has submitted a <br />request to vacate the above referenced alley. Mr. Gilot advised the Board is in receipt of <br />favorable recommendations concerning this Vacation Petition from the Area Plan Commission, <br />Police Department, Fire Department, Solid Waste, Community Investment and Engineering. Mr. <br />Corbitt Kerr, Engineering, stated removal of the alley will prohibit business frontages from being <br />
