Talboom <br />Kareemah Fowler <br />Council Attorney <br />Legal Research Assistant <br />City Clerk <br />Deputy <br />Chief Deputy <br />REPORT FROM THE SUB - COMMITTEE ON MINUTES <br />Councilmember Valerie Schey made a motion that the minutes of the June 8', 2015, meeting of <br />the Council be accepted and placed on file. Councilmember Mr. Gavin Ferlic seconded the <br />motion which carried by a voice vote of seven (7) ayes and one (1) nay by Councilmember <br />Derek Dieter. <br />SPECIAL BUSINESS <br />Council President Tim Scott announced that the Common Council will be taking applications for <br />the MEK advisory street naming committee until noon, Monday Julyl3th. Bill 18 -15 (Using <br />hand -held devices while driving) along with Resolution 15 -35 regarding pilot program on <br />(Weeds /tall grass and cutting for youth) have been continued to July 13th, 2015. <br />Councilmember Karen White announced that bills 24 -15 and 25 -15 have been continued until <br />July 27th, 2015. <br />15 -44 A RESOLUTION OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH <br />BEND, INDIANA, RECOGNIZING AND PUBLICLY HONORING GRAND <br />MASTER JERRY SPONSELLER FOR BEING INDUCTED INTO THE USA <br />MARTIAL ARTS HALL OF FAME AND FOR HAVING SUCH AN ENDURING <br />AND VERY POSITIVE IMPACT OF THOUSANDS OF YOUTH IN OUR <br />COMMUNITY <br />1 <br />
