These two parcels are next to each other and will be sold together. They are on the east side of Mayflower, south of Adams Road. On June 23, 2015, the Board of Public Works held an advertised public hearing, to elicit public comment on whether the property should be sold. Members of public unanimously expressed support for the sale. On that same date, the Board of Public Works then approved their Resolution No. 32 -2015, approving the sale of this property. State statute now requires the approval of the Common Council, for the property to eventually be listed for sale and sold. This property was acquired in 2009 for a proposed connector road between Mayflower and Portage, planned to service Portage Prairie and development to the north. Because of the adequacy and improvements to surrounding roads and streets, this connector road is no longer needed, and is therefore requested to be sold.
