After a series of questions the bill was continued until July 27 on supported motions by Derek Dieter and <br />Dr. Fred Ferlic. <br />The final item, bill 26 -15, asked the Council to approve a two -tier increase in fees for the collection and <br />disposal of solid waste materials. Eric Horvath and Mike Bronstetter, the Manager of Solid Waste <br />Operations, made the case for the increases. Attached is a report from Umbaugh, a CPA firm, hired by <br />the City to do a rate study. The proposed increase beginning in August of 2015 would be approx. $1.00 <br />per month for residential customers. <br />Following discussion the bill was sent to Council with a favorable recommendation after motions by <br />Derek Dieter and Dr. Fred Ferlic which were supported by all. <br />Dr. David Varner adjourned at 5:14 p.m. <br />Respectfully Submitted, <br />Dr. David Varner, Chairperson <br />Utilities Committee <br />
