Resolution No. /90? 7- 9lq. <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH <br />BEND, INDIANA, APPOINTING A CITY NEGOTIATING TEAM FOR <br />POLICE AND TEAMSTER NEGOTIATIONS. <br />WHEREAS, the City of South Bend has determined that a unified effort would be <br />in the City's best interest when addressing, through the negotiations process, such items as <br />wages, salaries, fringe benefits, and working conditions; and <br />WHEREAS, the Police Department Salary Ordinance and their Working <br />Agreement, as well as the Teamster Wage Ordinance and their Collective Bargaining <br />Agreement expire at the end of this calendar year; and <br />WHEREAS, on April 1, 1992, the Board of Public Safety passed Resolution No. <br />7 -1992 which appointed a negotiating team to represent the Board regarding upcoming <br />Police Department matters addressed in the Working Agreement; and <br />WHEREAS, the Common Council and the City Administration jointly agree that a <br />unified effort through a City Negotiating Team for Police and Teamster negotiations is the <br />best and most positive approach for the City. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IS RESOLVED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, as follows: <br />Section I. The Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana, hereby appoints the <br />following individuals to the City Negotiating Team to represent the City of South Bend in <br />the upcoming Police and Teamster Negotiations: <br />Stephen Luecke <br />Kevin Horton <br />Kathleen Cekanski- Farrand <br />Thomas L. Bodnar <br />Ann Puzzello <br />Eugene Ladewski <br />Catherine A. Hubbard (Teamsters) <br />John L. Leszczynski (Teamsters) <br />Section II.
