SECTION II. The county option income tax is <br />imposed on the county taxpayers of St. Joseph <br />County at the following rates for subsequent years <br />as follows: <br />Resident Nonresident <br />Cty Cty <br />Taxpayers Taxpayers <br />July 1, 1993 to June 30, 1994 <br />0.3% 0.075% <br />July 1, 1994 to June 30, 1995 <br />0.4% 0.1% <br />July 1, 1995 to June 30, 1996 <br />0.5% 0.125% <br />July 1, 1996 to June 30, 1997 <br />and subsequent years <br />0.6% 0.15% <br />SECTION III. The St. Joseph County Income <br />Tax Council hereby increases the percentage credit <br />allowed for homesteads in St. Joseph County under <br />IC 6 -1.1- 20.9 -2 in accordance with the following <br />schedule: <br />For Property Taxes payable in 1993 from 4% to 8 %. <br />For Property Taxes payable in 1994 from 8% to 9 %. <br />For Property Taxes payable in 1995 from 9% to 10 %. <br />For Property Taxes payable in 1996 from 10% to <br />11 %. <br />For Property Taxes payable in 1997 and thereafter <br />from 11% to 12 %. <br />This shall take effect January 1, 1993. <br />SECTION IV. The St. Joseph County Income Tax <br />Council imposes the county economic development <br />income tax on the county taxpayers of St. Joseph <br />County. The county economic development income <br />tax is imposed on the county taxpayers of the <br />county as follows: <br />One tenth of one percent (0.1 %) effective July 1, <br />1993. <br />Two tenths of one percent (0.2 %) effective July 1, <br />1994. <br />Three tenths of one percent (0.3 %) effective July <br />1, 1995. <br />Four tenths of one percent (0.4 %) effective July <br />1, 1996 and thereafter. <br />SECTION V. If any part, section, subsection, <br />sentence, clause or phrase of this Ordinance is <br />for any reason declared unconstitutional or <br />otherwise invalid, such decision shall not affect <br />the validity of the remaining portions of this <br />Ordinance. <br />SECTION VI. This Ordinance shall be in full <br />force and effect from, and after its adoption by <br />the St. Joseph County Income Tax Council. <br />
